“Water powered” cars, especially for years past, have been everywhere over the internet. To turn your engine into a water only entity, though, is not yet possible so beware of pricey kits. However there are some kits that allow you to partially use water in your engine that, considering how important the environment is, should be considered. Water powered cars aren’t simply vehicles that run off of water that’s poured into the gas tank. Water is stored under the hood in a special cell that turns the water into usable energy. The water, instead of used exclusively, becomes more like a gasoline helper and helping to save oil. There are many claims around the internet of companies and inventors that have successfully built water run cars, but these are all fake. The truth is, water can be converted into energy but it’s not at the point quite yet where it’s all an engine needs.

Anyone who claims to have built a complete water powered vehicle always fails to specify obvious set backs. For one thing, energy created by water that is in the fuel cell is a lot less than the energy it requires to generate it. Basically, you are displacing energy.

Research the various do it yourself kits thoroughly before purchasing one. Innocent people looking to save money on gasoline are often those that get taken advantage of. Converting your car’s engine is, understandably, a tedious and long project. For a high price, you can hire one of the thousands of licensed professionals that are available. DIY kits, after enough careful reading and research, are a better idea.

It is also critical to remember that transforming your engine to run on water energy, isn’t going to greatly reduce your gasoline usage. Even the most popular kit manufacturers will insist on this but it is simply untrue. If you are lucky you will notice a twenty percent change which is still quite an amazing difference when considering the high gas prices. As long as you do not irreversibly mess up your car’s engine during the installation. You won’t have too much to lose.

Another plus is the right to claim a refund on this year’s taxes after installing a kit on your car. Hybrids are tax deductible and essentially that is what the do it yourself kit is turning your car into. Your environmental contribution may seem small but your tax refund could save you hundreds.

When it is time to get rid of your car fear not. These kits are totally reversible and the fact that one was previously equipped will not damage your vehicle’s resale value. The kit, after purchasing your new vehicle, can even be used several times after.

The pursuit for a better more effective fuel is a dignified one. Powering your car on only water is not just a pipe dream, it is likely that it is going to happen in the future. For now however, water run cars just means that power from water is aiding the gasoline to burn more adequately and the tiny difference in gas mileage will go far.

It is possible to save money while running your car on water. At this time the need to find alternative fuels and energy is very real. We are reaching our limits globally. One of those ways to use alternative fuel is with your automobile. The price of gas is expected to steadily increase over time so finding a way to use less of it is a smart way to save.

Many people drive to and from work each and every day. They spend an average of about 46 minutes in their car each day. There are those who spend as much as two hours a day commuting. That is quite a bit of cash for gasoline spent each week. With the addition of water technology there is a possible savings of up to $250 per month.

This technology can be used with any kind of vehicle large or small. It means less air pollution because there will be less carbon dioxide emissions. That makes it good for the environment. It makes it more convenient for you because now less time and money will be spent at the gas station.

This will not mean a total elimination of gasoline usage. The use of water is actually done to improve how your car uses its gasoline. It greatly improves gas mileage. Electricity from the battery is used to split water molecules. When these are split then it can be converted to energy to use.

The process is known as electrolysis. Basically two metal parts are put in water. These are connected to the battery through wires. The electricity from the battery to the metal separates the water molecules so you then have a gas, HHO, known as brown gas. The engine is then using hydrogen and oxygen which works along with the air filter. The water stores a large amount of energy that is only tapped when the engine is on. Since the hydrogen and oxygen are going through the engine it makes for a cleaner and faster engine.

Another way to save is with tax credits from the IRS. Qualified alternative fuel motor vehicles may be eligible for tax credits. They were available for newly purchased vehicles with the fuel efficient equipment preinstalled up until December of 2009. The credit is still available for current use vehicles that have been equipped with the ability to use alternative fuel. The fuel alternative is applied to vehicles using compressed natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, liquefied natural gas or hydrogen.

There are kits that you can install yourself. These only take a couple of hours to install. There is nothing complicated or difficult. The whole point is to use the water and the resulting hydrogen and oxygen gas to make your gas work harder for longer. As the engine system is now, only 25% of gas is converted to power that can be used for the engine. With the conversion you can almost triple the gas mileage.

You can save money while running your car on water. At the same time you will be helping the environment by lower emissions, and saving quite a bit of money on the cost of gas. A tax credit is possible and improved gas mileage is a definite with the possibility of tripling it. Using water will also clean your carburetor and your engine will burn cleaner.
